JINJANG, KUALA LUMPUR

LOCATION
Jinjang is a town in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and is located about 13 km to the northwest of Kuala Lumpur city centre.

LOKASI
Jinjang adalah satu pekan dalam Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur dan terletak kira-kira 13 km ke barat laut pusat bandar Kuala Lumpur.

TOPONYMY
The name Jinjang is said to be derived from the name of a pig brought to Malaya by Chinese immigrants in the 19th century. They believed that the pig had special powers and could bring prosperity to them.

TOPONOMI
Jinjang dikatakan mendapat namanya dari nama seekor khinzir yang dibawa ke tanah Melayu oleh pendatang Cina pada kurun ke-19. Pendatang Cina tersebut mempercayai bahawa khinzir tersebut memiliki kuasa ajaib yang dapat memberi kekayan kepada mereka.

ATTRACTION
Since the majority of Jinjang residents are bof Chinese background, the area features many food outlets which offer traditional Chinese delicacies which are handed down from generation to generation.

Memandangkan majoriti penduduk kawasan Jinjang adalah berketurunan Cina, maka terdapat banyak restoran-restoran yang menawarkan makanan tradisional Cina yang diwarisi secara turun temurun.

Setapak is a major suburb in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated in the north-eastern part of Kuala Lumpur and has an area of 160 km2. The northern limit of Setapak is Gunung Bunga Buah; its north-eastern limit is Gunung Bidai; to the east is Bukit Dinding and to the south-east is the Padang Tembak.
